Call for path to be cleared

Dear Editor, – I have been in contact with Perth and Kinross Council regarding the public footpath between Skelton Place and Lyndoch Road in Methven as it is totally overgrown with branches and foilage.

I have asked if they can restore the pathway so it’s safe to walk for young and old alike.

Twice I have contacted them and twice I get an email stating someone will contact me, then nothing. This footpath is also the back entrance to the houses on Skelton Road, which are mainly pensioners.

It seems in Methven we pay council tax like the rest of the people in Perthshire, but seem to get no maintenance, streets cleaned or paths cleared of weeds.

Alex McKenzie,

By email.
