Bin lorry team fails to impress

Dear Editor, – We recently had the pleasure of a visit from the “bin lorry”. The bin men looked relaxed and were gleefully emptying the bins when I noticed one lonely black bag on the ground.

I know it’s not council policy to lift this bag, but I didn’t expect that after a bin man ran over it whilst returning an empty bin he would leave it lying. He knew he had ripped the bag and stuff had spilled everywhere. Did he pick it up? I waited but no he didn’t.

So can I say to the bin man, can you chase away the rats when you are next visiting us?
