Dear Editor, – On February 19 I went over a pothole in Perth and broke the spring in my car. It cost me just over £100 to fix it. A couple of days after it happened the hole was filled.
I put in a claim to P&K Council and apparently because the highway concerned is inspected at regular intervals of every month and the date of the last inspection prior to the accident no defect was found – also no other complaints relating to that area were reported – I lost the claim.
Today I notice the same hole has been filled a second time as I pass it all the time and try to dodge the hole.
It’s a shame that honest people like myself lose out in situations like this when so many people neither pay council tax nor road tax.
