Overheard in Willows Coffee Shop

STILL on the thorny subject of the City Hall, I overheard this exchange in Willows Coffee Shop earlier this week.

Over coffee and one of Willie White’s delicious bacon rolls, one old codger said to another: “It’s an awfae shame they want to knock down the City Hall...I met my wife there at the dancin’”.

“Is that right?” said codger no.2. “I thought you were divorced?”

Quick as a flash came the reply: “Right enough...just knock it down then!”

On that note, can I wish PA readers a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year...and remind those following the City Hall debate that there are more letters in Tuesday’s PA.
