PLANS for a 114ft power plant on Perth’s iconic riverfront would be laughable ... if only this sorry affair wasn’t so serious!
Thanks to the campaign mounted by the City’s ‘three musketeers’, Councillors Barrett, McLelland and Coburn – plus the rising tide of outrage from local folk – there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell of this monstrosity actually being build.
But that’s little comfort!
What makes my blood run cold is the fact that this application even reached the stage of being granted ‘Outline Consent’.
This ‘delegated powers’ scheme is an obvious flaw in Perth and Kinross Council’s planning process, and must be investigated and corrected as soon as possible.
