FANS of original punk will be beating a path to a Perth venue shortly for an evening of incendiary entertainment.
Straw Dogs, the UK’s only official Stiff Little Fingers tribute band, will blast their way through a potentially barn-storming a set of SLF favourites at Perth’s Corinna Hotel on October 18.
Supporting the Dogs on the night will be Dundee-based “good-time punksters” The Eddies, who include former Perth rocker Lee Guthrie in their ranks.
As an added bonus, between the two bands’ sets a punk rock compilation dvd will show some classic past moments on a large screen at the Atholl Street boozer.
Tickets for the gig, which is the third of 12 dates on Kilmarnock-based Straw Dogs’ No Sleep Til Buckfast UK tour, are already selling well.
Advance briefs for the tribute to Jake Burns and co are available from the Corinna on 01738 622201 priced £5, or on the door for £6 if still available.
Doors open at 8pm.
