Punks to fore

A HARDCORE punk gig featuring some top Scottish talents is being held in Perth on Thursday.

Taking Chase, Friday First and Joey Terrifying will form a strong bill at the Make-That-A-Take Records event being staged at the Fair City’s Mucky Mulligans.

Edinburgh electro / alternative rockers Taking Chase have been added to the line-up after Lincoln-based punks The Living Daylights and Fife rockers Fragile, who had both originally been marked down to play, were forced to pull out.

Taking Chase, who are signed to Wasted State Records, are regarded as one of the hardest working bands in Scotland and have a wealth of touring experience.

Perth five-piece Friday First produce epic post-hardcore melodies in the vein of Alexisonfire and Underoath, while fellow Fair City D-I-Y outfit Joey Terrifying are ska-punk exponents warming up for their first UK tour.

Doors at the Canal Street venue open at 7.30pm on Thursday.
