Choir team for charity

TWO choirs are combining to give a charity concert in Kinross Parish Church next Friday at 7.30 pm.

The two choirs are The Earn Singers and Kinross Parish Church Choir. The link is that they were both supported by the late Russell Young who died suddenly last year.

At this concert, the choirs will sing repertoires which Russell knew well, and will also show slides of the River Devon, a subject on which he often lectured, having an interest in wildlife, geology and photography. Some of his favourite poets will be aired.

Tickets are not necessary, but there will be a retiring offering in aid of Christian Aid and Kinross Parish Church itself.

It is hoped Paul Livingston, a student at Glasgow’s RSAMD will be playing violin.
