Country rock at Dunkeld
AMERICAN singer-songwriter and poet RB Morris will be bringing his collection of emotionally intense songs to Dunkeld’s Taybank Hotel on Saturday.
The thoughtful country rock performer from East Tennessee recalls the likes of Kris Kristofferson and Guy Clark, but with a bluesy edge.
A popular live turn in Nashville, the critically-acclaimed Morris has garnered a strong following among some of the country scene’s more innovative writers and singers, including Lucinda Williams, John Prine and Steve Earle.
Reflecting a range of musical styles -including pop, blues, country, gospel and improvisation with spoken word - the troubadour’s songs are shot through with his provocative wit and sense of melancholy.
