Beating it at the Factory

A HOST of big name dance acts are set to perform in Perth this weekend.

To mark the 15th birthday of legendary hardcore event Judgement Day, the Ice Factory will boast an exclusive debut UK appearance from Dutch dj-cum-producer Weapon X on Friday night.

Others featuring on the Shore Road venue’s all-star bill include Scottish hardcore favourite Bass Generator, as well as Mikey B, Obsession and Smurf.

Ice Factory disc-spinner Kevin Murphy insisted the celebratory bash promised to be a “massive” draw for hardcore heads.

“Live on stage we have chart-topping dance band from the early 90s, Dream Frequency, who had hits such as Feel So Real and Take Me,” said the Destruxion jock.

“Also on the night we have Scottish hardcore band Ultimate Buzz and newcomers Dynasty Assasinz.

“Local hardcore djs Destruxion and Nicki P will be playing an hour-long set in the main room in what is going to be the biggest hardcore event to come to Perth.

“In total there will be 22 djs and three live bands performing over three areas, which will also include David Gillespie from Perth who’ll be supplying quality house anthems in the terrace area.”

Tickets for Friday’s event - doors open at 8.30pm - are available from Concorde Music and That Bar in Perth.
