Leven’s live lounge

IDIOSYNCRATIC Scots songsmith Jackie Leven will play songs from his latest album in Perth on Monday.

The veteran Fife rocker, who has been putting out passionate and intelligent work for more than 30 years, will appear at Perth Theatre’s cafe bar on Monday night.

Leven is expected to give an airing to tracks from his acclaimed new LP, Lovers At The Gun Club, plus some past favourites.

The intimate gig forms part of the High Street venue’s regular Monday Night Thing series.

Singer-songwriter Leven first made his name with punk outfit Doll By Doll in the ‘70s, then found a new audience as a unique solo artist over the last decade.

Last seen in the Fair City performing with novelist and kindred Fife spirit Ian Rankin, Leven is widely regarded as among the UK’s most entertaining and intense performers.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 8pm, are available from Perth Theatre, or by calling 0845 6126324.
