CLASSIC rock fans The Windows have revealed details of their next big project.
The Perth four-piece have lined up a springtime multi-band rock show that they are billing as “Jools Holland meets the Rocky Horror Picture Show”.
Pencilled in for April 24, the concert in the Fair City’s Salutation Hotel will feature sets from four live bands, a ‘swingin’ 60s’ themed disco, a best dressed ‘swinger’ competition and a special prize draw in support of The Windows’ pet Rockin For Kids charity.
No other acts involved have been named as yet, but quick-off-the mark Windows frontman Athole Fleming has already made ‘early bird’ corporate sponsorship packages and group table offers available.
The band organised a similar successful bash earlier this year and members expect interest levels to be high again.
“If the response if anything like last year, I would expect all tickets be sold out before Christmas,” Athole said. “Friends and followers of The Windows will also be getting an early chance to get their tickets shortly.”
Meantime, the hard-working outfit will be playing at Callander’s Dalgair House Hotel for the first time on Friday at 9.30pm.
On Saturday they’re at the Old Ship Inn in Perth, again at 9.30pm.
