Eagles’ sweet sounds soar into Pitlochry

A FAITHFUL tribute to US country rock legends The Eagles will be paid at a Highland Perthshire venue this week.

Leading covers outfit Desperado will be out to replicate the Californian sunshine sound perfected by Don Henley, Joe Walsh and co when they play a two-hour set at Pitlochry Festival Theatre on Friday night.

The ensemble six-piece include most of The Eagles’ classic works in their set, including Hotel California, Take It Easy and One Of These Nights.

Boasting sweet vocal harmonies layered over note-perfect guitar breaks, licks, slides, and solos, the band capture the timeless flavour of their heroes’ music.

The real Eagles have recently released their first new studio album in 27 years - a testament to the longevity of their unique, feel-good music and the strength of its appeal to each new generation.

Desperado also digress into the solo careers of Henley and Walsh, just to add to the completeness of the audience experience.

Following the tribute gig, Seventies rock ‘n’ rollers Showaddywaddy will be strutting their stuff at PFT on Saturday night.

Tickets for both shows are available from the theatre’s box office on 01796 484626, or online at www.pitlochry.org.uk
