ROCKABILLY outfit The Accelerators are set to bring their high-octane take on a host of old school classics to the Pitcairngreen Inn on Saturday.
Boasting an authentic 1950s-inspired sound, the three-piece play fast and furious rock ‘n’ roll combined with hillbilly country on guitars and double bass, blending covers and original compositions.
Influenced by the likes of Buddy Holly, Hank Williams, Eddie Cochran, Little Richard, The Blasters and Elvis Presley, the Fife-based troupe have been around for 14 years and have played clubs and festivals all over the UK, supporting legendary acts such as The Crickets and Otis Grand.
The Accelerators have released three albums on the Raucous label and are planning a fourth, with most of the songs already penned by singer Steve Smith.
Saturday’s gig, which will have a capacity of 60 fans, starts at 8.30pm.
Tickets priced £5 are available from the venue on 01378 583022.
