Scone gig for The Windows

HIGH-PROFILE Perth act The Windows will be rocking ‘n’ rolling their way to Scone this weekend.

Athole Fleming’s versatile four-piece will pay their first visit of the year to the village’s Kinnears Inn on Saturday night.

Kicking off at 9.30pm, The Windows will play their usual two-hour set, featuring tracks from their 18-track debut album Hearts And Sleeves, plus a brand new song being aired for the very first time.

Meanwhile, Perth-based Eden Events were yesterday named as the main sponsor for the band’s Rockshow event (logo left) at the Fair City’s Salutation Hotel on April 24.

This year’s attraction will feature the return of Rolling Stones tribute band Sticky Fingers, sets from Lateshift, The Windows and Zane Miller, and a themed disco.

Eden’s operations director Tracy Pattinson said the multi-band concert has been a virtual sell-out since last December, making it a night worth backing.

“For us to be involved with a musical event like this is a real pleasure,” she told Music Scene.

“We look forward to welcoming our guests for a night of live rock ‘n’ roll from the three bands and getting on the floor for the swingin’ 60s disco too.”

With all tables at the gig fully booked, extra evening lounge bar tickets have gone on sale.

These can be bought from the Salutation or Greyfriars Bar, both in South Street, Perth.
