RISING Perthshire talents Day Of Days are set to play a starring role in celebrations to mark an annual live spectacular’s first decade.
The Crieff four-piece will be appearing at next month’s two-day Big in Falkirk, which is expected to attract up to 100,000 music fans to central Scotland.
Taking place this year on May 2 and 3, the national arts and music festival has a track record of discovering acts on the verge of making the breakthrough.
Stars who have previously graced the Callendar Park event include Amy MacDonald, McFly, Snow Patrol and Sandi Thom.
Day Of Days also featured in last year’s Big in Falkirk line-up and such was the impression they made on those present that event organisers have invited them to make a swift return.
The Strathearn band, whose members are Paul Petrie (vocals / guitar / keys), Gordon Speedie (guitar), Garry Graham (bass) and Graeme Macdonald (drums), will join headliners Capercaillie and Stereo MCs this time round.
Big in Falkirk takes place on May 2 and 3 from noon until late, with Day Of Days scheduled to play on the Sunday from 3pm.
More immediately, the band have lined up a show at Stirling’s Cape venue on Sunday.
