Sandy launches album

PERTHSHIRE singer-songwriter Sandy Marshall is aiming for success with his debut solo album, Only Time Can Tell.

The Blackford-based guitarist, who is a member of popular folk outfit Tarneybackle, recorded the 15-track affair at Redbarn Studios in Longforgan.

Featuring eight self-penned songs and seven traditional favourites, tracks from the album have featured on Iain Anderson’s BBC Radio Scotland show and several local radio stations.

Sandy’s self-penned songs have been influenced by his Big County roots, places and events.

His lyrical inspirations include Blackford, Doune and Dunblane, as well as the Holyrood parliament and local windfarm developments.

Besides performing live with Tarneybackle, Sandy also plays regularly as a solo artist under his Scots name Sannock.

Only Time Can Tell can be purchased at Concorde Music in Perth, Auchterarder’s Squeezebox, the Tullibardine shop in Blackford and Dunblane Post Office.
