Rock acts set for all day bash for charity

FANS of hardcore metal are being urged to pledge their support to the Book Yer Ane Fest II fund-raiser, which takes place in Perth on Saturday.

The Mucky Mulligans noisefest is a benefit for Fair City charity Safe-Tay, which campaigns to prevent tragedies on the River Tay.

It’ll be the fourth annual HM extravaganza to be held in memory of Graham Motion, who drummed with acclaimed Perth metalheads Allergo.

A dozen full-on rock acts will be playing at the all-day ‘D-I-Y’ event, with all proceeds from the Canal Street bash being put towards the cost of creating a new interactive website for teaching children water safety awareness.

A box for handing in mix tapes or CDs will be available, plus stalls and a raffle.

The music marathon starts at 2pm on Saturday. Tickets cost £5 from www.safe-tay.co.uk and www.myspace.com/cowpunkrecordingsuk

A HOST of bands will be joining forces at Auchterarder Parish Church hall on June 13 for a charity gig in aid of the Young M.E. Sufferers Trust.
