A HOST of Perthshire rock talents will be putting on an epic charity show at a rural venue tomorrow.
Headed up by Fair City songsmiths The Windows, the Big Woop Concert at New Milne House Estate, by Guildtown, will raise funds for Scottish charity Afri-link, which helps improve the lives of vulnerable African youngsters through medical aid, social welfare, education, environmental protection and conservation.
Other artists making an appearance at the 12-hour bash include Lady Miss Emma (above) & Lovemachine, The Skank Ass G, Felix Da Sax Cat, Vinyl Richie & Gang, Das Uber Schaffe and Rhythm Message Soul Club, with more still to be added.
Entry to the gig is free, with those attending being asked to donate £5 or £10.
The organisers hope to raise £3,000 by staging the event, which has on-site parking and camping.
Those travelling towards Guildtown from Perth should look left for, bizarrely, “a six-foot monkey” to find the estate’s driveway.
The party starts at 5pm tomorrow and continues all the way to 5am on Thursday.
Meanwhile, The Windows will be back in action again on Saturday when they play Perth’s Twa Tams.
The Beatles/Stones-inspired foursome are promising to include a few new songs written by frontman Athole Fleming at the Scott Street gig, which gets underway at 9.30pm.
