Malt House to host Scottish and Celtic jam session

A HOST of music events are set to herald a new era at a Perth venue.

The Malt House in Princes Street, which was formerly the Stagger Inn, will be holding a Scottish and Celtic jam session tonight with fiddles, bongos, guitars and violins.

Organisers, who are inviting budding musicians to take part, hope to establish the event as a weekly attraction and up to 20 performers are expected.

Following on from this, on Friday night Perthshire folk rockers Earthwood will play the venue from 8pm until late, with Ally Alcorn performing on Saturday. All events are free.
