Concert Hall date for Paul Carrack

FORMER Mike and The Mechanics frontman Paul Carrack (right) has been confirmed for a return to Perth.

The 58-year-old, who sung on worldwide hits like The Living Years and Over My Shoulder, will play at Perth Concert Hall on February 4.

The always-in-demand keyboard player has built up a reputation for stunning live performances in a near 40-year career that has included a host of other highlights including vocal appearances on pub-rock outfit Ace’s How Long and the Squeeze hit, Tempted.

Yorkshireman Carrack - who previously played PCH early in 2008 - has also worked with the likes of Roxy Music, Pretenders, The Undertones, Eric Clapton, BB King and Elton John.

His new soul-drenched album I Know That Name includes a host of self-penned efforts, plus a track written with Eagles legends Don Henley and Timothy B Schmit and of Michael Price and Dan Walsh’s classic Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City.

Carrack’s massive UK tour starts at the end of this month and continues right through until mid-March.

Tickets for the Perth show are available from the box office on 0845 612 6324.
