SCOTS balladeers Blueflint (right) are set to entertain at a Perthshire venue later this month.
The Edinburgh-based country five-piece, who are led by banjo players Deborah Arnott and Clare Neilson, will appear at the Birnam Institute on November 21.
Blueflint released their debut album High Bright Morning last month, featuring production work from renowned composer Jim Sutherland.
Steeped in Americana, the band’s music is part-bluegrass, part-folk, subtly intertwining the three-finger picking and clawhammer styles of banjo traditions with striking vocals and harmonies.
Besides the songwriting fulcrums Deborah and Clare, a versatile touring line-up also features Roddy Neilson on fiddle, drummer Ian Stoddart and Hugh Kelly (double bass).
Tickets for the Birnam gig, which starts at 7pm on November 21, are available by calling the Station Road venue on 01350 727674.
