On the trail of textiles and art on Tay Street

A NEWCOMER to the Perth Art Trail is the newly-opened Tayberry Gallery in Princes Street in the former artisanat premises. Owners Ebba Edman and Andrew Goring have been sourcing exciting new work, and their Perth Festival contribution is a special exhibition of artwork by Lindsey Gardiner, a well-known children’s book writer and illustrator from Dundee. Another Dundonian, Lisa Rooney, will also be exhibition some of her ceramic work. The Tayberry Gallery’s Festival exhibition runs from May 23 until June 20.

Just round the corner in Victoria Street, Frames Gallery’s contribution to the festival is an exhibition of Scottish contemporary printmaking. This wide-ranging exhibition (May 23-June 20) features some of Scotland’s best-known artists and some local printmakers.
