CROONER Will Young has praised the audience at T in the Park - saying the Kinross-shire festival is “better than Glastonbury”.
The former Pop Idol winner made the pre-event critics eat their words with a blinding appearance at Balado’s Pet Sounds Arena last month - and thanked the fans for helping him through.
Young said the crowd reaction to his set had vindicated the organisers’ decision to include him in the line-up, despite accusations that his music wasn’t suited to rock-dominated T.
“The crowd were amazing,” he said.
“I was a bit nervous before because I had heard a couple of whispers. But that’s fine, people are entitled to their own opinion and I guess maybe that’s what it’s about - getting reactions.
“But in the end they were just the best audience and the tent was absolutely rammed. I thought Glastonbury was amazing but T in the Park was even better.”
