FESTIVAL fans turning up at Balado this summer can now look forward to appearances from three more of the UK’s hottest bands.
Mercury Music Prize winners Elbow, album chart-toppers White Lies and Anglo-Swedish rockers Razorlight have been added to the bill for T in the Park, which takes place near Kinross from July 10-12.
Throughout their career, Elbow have been one of the country’s most critically-acclaimed artists for their innovative sound and front-man Guy Garvey’s candid lyrics.
Among those who have already confirmed their attendance at the event are Blur, Kings Of Leon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Snow Patrol, Katy Perry and Pendulum.
Controversial ex-Libertines and Babyshambles member Pete Doherty, who will perform material from his forthcoming first solo album, Grace/Wastelands, has also been named among the Balado highlights.
UK-based Australian band Pendulum are making a return visit to Balado after earning rave reviews at the event last year.
Since appearing at Balado last year, London-based trio White Lies have seen their debut album To Lose My Life go straight in at number one.
Now in its 16th year, the 90,000-capacity festival is set to attract about 180 artists playing across 11 stages.
