PERENNIAL festival favourites Doves and Idlewild confirmed their places at T in the Park yesterday.
Manchester-based Doves, who recently released their fourth album Kingdom Of Rust, will play the event’s Radio 1/NME Stage on July 12, while Scots rockers Idlewild will make their fifth appearance at Balado on the same platform on opening night, July 10.
Other acts added to the T bill yesterday were Californian synth-rockers Iglu & Hartly (King Tut’s Wah Wah Tent, July 11) and a trio of debutants on the Futures Stage.
The new faces are subversive songsmith Patrick Wolf (July 10), crunching guitar outfit Dinosaur Pile-Up (July 11) and soul popsters Vagabond (July 10).
But one piece of bad news for festival-goers also emerged yesterday - rising stars La Roux have cancelled their T appearance, citing “touring commitments”.
Meanwhile, tickets adding Thursday camping to weekend or existing camping tickets are now available from Ticketmaster and original purchase points priced £10, plus booking fee.
