BE prepared for an evening of entertaining anecdotes and the occasional rant when Aberdeen-based crime writer Stuart MacBride visits Perth’s AK Bell Library on Thursday to discuss his successful Logan McRae series of thrillers.
Stuart shot into the public eye in 2005 with his hugely successful debut thriller Cold Granite which won him the Barry Award for the Best First Novel in 2006. He has since gone on to publish three more bestselling titles.
Stuart has lived in the Aberdeen area for many years and his novels, featuring DS Logan McRae, are all set in the Granite City. McRae will make his next appearance in Stuart’s eagerly anticipated new novel Blind Eye, which is published on April 30.
The McRae books have been described as grim and gritty intelligent police procedurals, with a great line in black humour. Their author enjoys to let-off steam, so a lively evening is expected at AK Bell. Fans of the Logan McRae thrillers will know exactly what to expect!
The evening starts at 7.30pm and will provide a fascinating insight into the author of these thrillers. Tickets, £4, are available from the AK Bell Library. Telephone 01738 477019 for further information.
