Master meets students

PERTH College UHI’s Creative Industries students were privileged to have a visit from celebrated Scottish artist Richard Demarco CBE, who taught a masterclass entitled 'What makes a great artist?’.

As a follow-up to the opening of the ‘Arttitude’ student exhibition at Perth Museum and Art Gallery, he imparted some of his knowledge to the students.

He explained: “Every work of art requires three types of energy: physical energy; intellectual energy and emotional energy. If the artist fails in this, the work remains soulless.”
