Perthshire District Young Farmers perform Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

A GROUP of Young Farmers from the Perthshire District are busy with rehearsals for what promises to be a unique retelling of the Classic Fairytale – Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs.

This is the fourth pantomime that the District have put on and with tickets for the event selling fast this one looks it’s not going to disappoint.

The pantomime is run to help raise money for district activities and this year they will also be making a donation to RHET (The Royal Highland Education Trust).

The pantomime is self produced and written by the talented Jim Smith who has written the previous pantomimes as well as Perthshire’s entries to the East Region Cabaret Competition.

This year’s performance is made of a 15-strong cast with Jennifer Doe playing leading lady Snow White; Anna Dickinson playing Prince Charming; Finlay McFarlane, Ally Marshall, Jim Smith, Cameron Pitcaithly, Kayley Kennedy, Miriam Doe and Alix Ritchie playing the seven dwarfs; John Ritchie as the Fairy Godmother; Wilma Struthers playing the mirror; Diana Currie, Linzi Buchanan, Karen Stewart as the forest animals and Andrew Baird playing Willie the Woodcutter!

The performance is running from Thursday 10 – Saturday, December 12 at the Birnam Institute with curtains up at 7pm.
