‘When Harry Met Sally’ comes to Perth Theatre

‘WHEN Harry Met Sally’ continues to be one of the most popular romantic comedies more than two decades after it hit the big screen starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan.

The smash-hit 1989 film directed by Rob Reiner spawned Meg Ryan’s memorable cafe scene and the burning question: ‘can a man and woman ever really just be friends?’

A new tour of the stage production of ‘When Harry Met Sally’ comes to Perth Theatre from tonight until Saturday as part of an extensive national tour.

The role of Sally is taken by Sarah Jayne Dunn, who played Mandy Richardson in the TV soap, Hollyoaks, while Rupert Hill (Jamie Baldwin in Coronation Street) is Harry.

‘When Harry Met Sally’ spans a dozen years in the tale of two New Yorkers and the friendship which develops between them.

The stage adaptation from the much-loved Academy Award winning film features music by Ben Cullum and his brother, the jazz sensation, Jamie Cullum.

Jamie Wilson Productions brings this Marcy Kahan adaptation of ‘When Harry Met Sally’, directed by Michael Gyngell, to Perth Theatre.
