INTERNATIONALLY-renowned violinist Nicola Benedetti comes to Perth Concert Hall this spring as part of her seven-venue Scottish tour of some of her favourite classical repertoire.
For her Fantasie Recital Tour, Nicola will be joined by two talented friends and colleagues, pianist Alexei Grynyuk, winner of the Vladimir Horowitz competition, and cellist Leonard Elschenbroich, recent winner of the Leonard Bernstein award.
Ayrshire-born Nicola expressed her delight to be taking the tour to Scotland: “I am fortunate to perform in wonderful venues all over the world, but it is always a hugely special experience for me when I play in Scotland.
“There is nothing to match the feeling of performing at home to audiences which radiate so much warmth and closeness.
“This tour is a particular highlight for me, as by bringing my favourite chamber works to audiences in an intimate atmosphere, I hope everyone will fall in love with them as much as I have.”
Her concert will feature repertoire from Nicola’s latest album, Fantasie, as well as a selection of well-loved chamber pieces.
The tour is in association with two charities: CLIC Sargent and Big Noise.
