Live music in Perthshire care homes

LIVE music is set to entertain residents of two Perthshire care homes this month.

Music in Hospitals’ duos, soprano Emma Versteeg with pianist Robin Versteeg and singer Billy Strachan with pianist David Mackie, are looking forward to providing a programme of familiar songs, classical favourites, songs from the shows and traditional Scottish music for their audiences at Dalginross House in Comrie on March 19 and Rivendell Care Home in Birnam on the evening of March 31.

Alison Frazer, chief executive of Music in Hospitals in Scotland, said: “We are most grateful to Crerar Hotels for generously supporting these concerts over many years.

“Thanks to their support, we have visited quite a few of the care units before and it is always a pleasure to be able to call and let them know our musicians will be visiting again.

“We hope that residents, their families, friends and care staff will have a lovely time.”
