TO help spread the word about the Perth Museum and Art Gallery’s current Andy Warhol exhibition, a group of young people have volunteered their time to become digital ambassadors – using social networking and other media to make sure that everyone gets a chance to see the exhibition before it ends in October.
In return for their dedication, the museum has offered participants the chance to gain valuable experience, working with organisations such as Media Arts Services Scotland, Blast Design events and lighting specialists and photographer Claire Fraser.
The young people are showcasing their skills by holding an event in the galleries on Thursday (July 22) from 7pm until 9pm.
‘The One Almighty Pop’ brings together music from local bands, VJ, art, food and more. Tickets are on sale priced £4 on the door. A special price of £3 is offered for those who register in advance for the guest list via the Facebook site: Andy Warhol American Pop Icon.
Contact the arts development team at Perth and Kinross Council for more information at artsdev@pkc.gov.uk or on 01738 477834
The exhibition, Andy Warhol: American Pop Icon is on until October 23.
