Charities granted wishes for free panto tickets

PERTH Theatre is granting wishes for charities by offering free tickets for its traditional family pantomime, Aladdin.

Charities in Perth and Kinross can apply for up to 50 tickets for the performances on Thursday, December 2, at 7pm and Friday, December 3, at 1.30pm and 7pm.

Applications stating the name and address of the group, contact name, email and telephone number, how many tickets are needed and preferred performance, should be sent by e-mail to pantocharitywish@horsecross.co.uk before Friday, November 5.

Ticket allocation is subject to availability and, as it’s a family show, priority will be given to children’s charities. Successful applicants will be advised by Wednesday, November 10.

Bursting with songs, slapstick, silliness and audience participation the Perth’s Aladdin is the perfect traditional panto in the perfect traditional theatre. It all adds up to festive fun and frolics with a distinctly local slant.

Running from Friday, December 3, until Saturday, January 8, Aladdin features a host of familiar Fair City faces including school teacher turned stand-up comedian Bruce Fummey as Wishee Washee, River City’s Lorna Craig as Aladdin, Tom McGovern as Abanazar and Lesley Mackie as the Empress. And it’s directed by Perth-born and raised Ian Grieve.
