THE League of Friends of Aberfeldy Cottage Hospital is looking for photographers, artists and designers to submit suggestions for this year’s Christmas card.
Last year’s specially commissioned Christmas cards proved extremely popular. Almost 5000 of Iain Hutchison’s photographs of blue sky, sunshine and snow on General Wade’s Bridge and The Black Watch Monument were sold and sent to all corners of the globe, raising funds for the hospital’s comfort fund.
“Iain’s photographs will be an extremely hard act to follow,” said Pam Mcdiarmid, chairperson of the League of Friends, “but we are sure there must be lots of photographs taken over the past few months. It has been as long hard winter, but we had some incredibly beautiful days after the snow fell.”
The committee is looking to expand on its success and is asking for paintings, designs and photographs to be considered for this year’s cards.
It is hoping artists can come up with paintings of local scenes or views and that there may be designers with different ideas for an Aberfeldy Christmas Card.
The League of Friends will choose one or two designs for the cards. All ideas will be welcomed and given serious consideration.
All submissions should be sent to: Susan Guinn, Aberfeldy Cottage Hospital, Crieff Road, Aberfeldy, PH15 2DH; or emailed tosguinn@nhs.net by the end of April.
