PERTH Theatre is searching the land for talented local youngsters to perform in this year’s pantomime.
Jack and the Beanstalk is this year’s ‘fee fi fo’ fun-filled family panto, a hilarious adventure of giant proportions featuring wacky characters, crazy costumes and cheering a-plenty.
Auditions for talented youngsters between the ages of nine and 14 to play villagers and chorus are being held on Sunday, October 2.
Some experience of dancing and singing is required as the audition will involve learning and performing a dance routine as well as joining in a group song.
Honour
Jack and the Beanstalk director Andrew Panton said: “It’s a real honour to be directing Jack and the Beanstalk.
“Pantos are the first taste of theatre for many of us. I’ll never forget that feeling of seeing the curtain go up as a live band kicks in – it was fantastic, and still is!
“I think it’s essential to involve local young people at Christmas and I’m really looking forward to meeting and working with the youngsters of Perthshire.”
Applicants must register before the day by contacting Sandra Grieve at sgrieve@horsecross.co.uk for an application pack.
