IT may not be an Aston Martin but Ford will be hoping that its funky new Ka city car gains similar notoriety when it stars in the latest James Bond film.
The company has revealed that the Ka will be the second Ford to star in a Bond movie, following the Mondeo’s appearance in the 2006 blockbuster, Casino Royale.
The all-new Ka is set to star in the forthcoming blockbuster Quantum of Solace alongside leading lady Olga Kurylenko, who becomes an unlikely ally called Camille for the dashing Mr Bond.
The car has been specially prepared for the film with metallic gold paint and an exclusive combination of exterior graphics and interior trim.
The exposure will also be worth its weight in gold for the latest-generation Ka, which is due to go on sale here later this year, a dozen years after the original.
Directed by Marc Forster, the film again stars Daniel Craig as secret agent Bond and opens in the UK and France on October 31 before reaching cinemas across the rest of Europe from November.
