Renault winds up baby convertible
A COUPE that takes only 12 seconds to turn itself into a roadster is all set to win new friends for Renault.
Due to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the French firm's latest small car has all it takes to make a big impression with the growing number of open top fans.
Called Wind, the two-seater model has a novel power roof that pivots open in moments.
'This is a new take on transport for people who the idea of a nimble little car that also offers all the fun of wind-in-the-hair motoring. But it has also been designed to be sufficiently practical for everyday use around town,' said a spokesman.
Despite measuring less than four metres in length, the distinctive-looking Wind is said to offer ample space for luggage irrespective of the position of its roof.
'We have yet to confirm specification or pricing details, but we can promise that this car will be affordable,' said the spokesman.
