Soup kitchen will be a real winter warmer

THE Salvation Army Furniture Re-Use Project is to hold a Soup Kitchen to help support its resettlement and welfare work.

The event takes place on Saturday, December 6, from 11am–2pm, at The Salvation Army Furniture Re-Use Project, 3 Kilda Place, North Muirton Industrial Estate, Perth.

Staff from the Furniture Project, assisted by some residents from The Salvation Army’s Skinnergate Resettlement Unit, will be serving up New Covent Garden Food Co chicken broth and root vegetable soup.

The nationwide campaign will see New Covent Garden Food Co working with The Salvation Army to help vulnerable people get back on their feet. This will involve helping people, such as the homeless, re-settle into society by teaching them practical and essential life skills.
