Alyth workshops

AN all-day screen printing, dyeing and textiles workshop will be held during the October holidays in Alyth Community Wing.

This specialist all day workshop will be led by experienced textile artist and graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Helen Gallogly.

Participants will get the opportunity to use a range of fabrics and learn a number of dyeing techniques during the course including dip dying, spray dying, twist and tie dyeing.

Participants will also explore the processes involved in screen printing which will then be applied in combination with the dyeing processes learnt earlier in the day to create vibrant and original pieces of textile art.

During the day participants will work together to create a giant textiles wall hanging, but will also work individually to create hand-crafted tote bags.
