The Hawk hands himself in

NOTORIOUS Castle Huntly abscondee Brian "The Hawk" Martin has been traced.

Martin, who fled the open prison last Monday, responded to an appeal made by Tayside Police and handed himself in at Kinross police station on Monday afternoon.

Detective Chief Inspector Bruce Kerr, the Senior Investigating Officer, said: ‘‘I’d like to thank those members of the public who came forward with information and also our colleagues in Fife Constabulary for their assistance.’’

The Hawk was an inmate at Castle Huntly after serving time in HMP Shotts for firearms offences.
