A BIRNAM man appearing at Perth Sheriff Court this week admitted telling police officers in Perth that he would “put a sword through all of them”.
The threats were made on June 9 after Gregor Marnoch (36), Station Road, Birnam, was taken to Perth Police Station on a suspected drink-driving incident.
At the Barrack Street headquarters Marnoch failed to supply two specimens of breath for analysis to ascertain the proportion of alcohol on his breath while driving a car on Station Road in Birnam, in Murthly, and on other roads on June 9.
He admitted that charge and also accepted that he had uttered threats to police officers at Perth Police Station, telling one constable that he knew where he lived and would get him, and then threatening to put a sword through all the police officers present at the time.
Sentence on Marnoch was deferred until September 29 for the preparation of background reports.
