A TEENAGER who pled guilty to assault was released on bail with the strict condition that he does not enter Coupar Angus.
John Harrison (16), of Morrison Terrace, Blairgowrie, appeared at Perth Sheriff Court charged with assaulting James Powell at a Queen Street address in Coupar Angus on September 24.
The court heard that the teenager, who lives at home with his mother and stepfather, had repeatedly punched Mr Powell about the head and body, causing him injury.
Harrison, who spent the weekend in custody following the incident in Coupar Angus, was released on bail subject to special conditions.
Deferring sentencing until October 6 pending background reports, Sheriff Lindsay Foulis told the teenager that Coupar Angus was strictly off-limits.
“Take it from me, age 16 and a half or not, if you come before this court facing any kind of allegation, you will not get your liberation,” he said.
