Kinross teenagers torches wheelie bin

LIVES were put in danger after a Kinross teenager torched a wheelie bin in the town and the blaze spread to a nearby flat.

Kenneth Parsons (17), of Montgomery Street, will be sentenced at Perth Sheriff Court on July 6.

Social inquiry, community service and psychiatric reports were ordered on the accused after an earlier appearance.

He pled guilty to culpably and recklessly setting fire to the bin at 3 Mill Street, Kinross, on December 20 last year.

The fire then took effect on the flat, to the danger of life.

A doctors report is to be prepared on the accused to assess his suitability for carrying out unpaid work a direct alternative to a prison sentence.
