Bid to host radio show

RADIO Tay is perfectly in tune with this month’s Full Length And Fabulous Charity Ball.

The area’s leading radio station is offering one lucky ballgoer the chance to secure a “money can’t buy” auction item at the June 20 fundraiser.

Tay’s AM and FM stations have combined to offer the chance to co-host a one-off show with the presenter of your choice from the airwaves’ top team.

And this amazing opportunity will go to the highest bidder at the Perthshire Advertiser/St Johns Rotary Club black tie event in aid of local Young Carers.

Radio Tay managing director Ally Bally explained that they wanted to donate an auction item that the public couldn’t go out and buy.

“Lots of people fancy having a go at radio work so now’s their chance to get a little taste of what life’s like in the studios alongside their favourite presenter,” he said.

“This is something you can’t buy – a real experience and hopefully those attending the charity ball will dig deep to secure this auction item for themself sor someone in the family.

“Young Carers is a charity that all our presenters are familiar with and we’re happy to help the PA and St Johns Rotary Club raise as much as they can for these amazing youngsters.”

Murrayshall Country House Hotel is the setting for the Perthshire Advertiser and St Johns Rotary Club’s Full Length And Fabulous Ball which will feature everything from fine dining and midsummer drinks to fun-filled fundraising and fabulous live dance music.

Organisers are delighted at the support shown so far for the midsummer fundraiser.

And they’re keen to hear from anyone who would like to support their efforts either through sponsorship, donation of prizes or just by buying tickets to join in the fun.
