ENTRIES and nominations are sought for the second annual Perthshire Positive Action Awards, to be held on Thursday, October 23, at the AK Bell Library Theatre in Perth.

The awards recognise and celebrate positive actions and the achievements of people in local communities. They will showcase the skills, talents and enterprise of children, organisations and communities of Perthshire.

The event will be hosted by Councillor Callum Gillies, chairman of the Perth and Kinross Quality of Life Trust.

The awards are open to all communities and individuals in Perthshire (the Young People category is for people aged 14-25).

The awardees receive a certificate and a cheque of £250 and the Young People winners receive a gift.

A panel of judges, drawn from the Perth and Kinross Quality of Life Trustees, Perth and Kinross Council and area organisations select the winners.
