Steps on dog fouling

THE on-going issue of dog fouling on the streets of Crieff was raised by Gordon Banks MP at a meeting with officials from Perth and Kinross Council.

Mr Banks said: “It is not only a problem for able-bodied people, it is a real issue for those with wheelchairs who are forced to drive through this mess, and also for young children who can pick this up on their feet.”

Describing the meeting as “useful”, Mr Banks continued: “There are only two full-time posts expected to cover the entire Perth and Kinross area.

“Council officers agreed to focus on parts of Crieff in the future to monitor the situation and that is pleasing.”
