Storytelling festival for primary school children

WHILE T in the Park takes over Balado next weekend, a different festival is coming to Perth.

A Read in the Park is a free celebration of storytelling in the North Inch from 1-4pm on Saturday, July 12.

Organised by Perth and Kinross Council, the family event is aimed at children of primary school ages and below.

Experienced Scottish storytellers will take part, including Sylvia Troon, whose humorous tales mix fantasy and reality.

Rhythm and Rhyme entertainers Jill Geary and Lynn McKay, who may already be familiar names from their sessions in local libraries, will also be performing.
