Users give top ratings to mobile libraries

A SURVEY of almost 1000 mobile library service users throughout Perth and Kinross found that 92 per cent rate the service “very good” or “excellent”.

Over 80 per cent make sure that they visit the mobiles every time they are in the neighbourhood.

The survey was carried out by Perth and Kinross Libraries. At present, the three mobile libraries visit more than 200 communities at least once every two weeks.

Users said they appreciated the variety of books, DVDs, audio books and CDs but wanted to see more new books.

70 per cent said the vehicles should carry more information about council, health, learning and leisure services.
