Fundraisers hit the streets

VOLUNTEERS and service users at Perth’s Shopmobility took to the streets of the Fair City to raise funds for a local project which helps adults with limited mobility access local shops.

A team of fundraisers armed with collectioncans took their electricscooters around Perthto raise £401.72 in supportof the project’s running costs.

Perth Shopmobility, a project which is part of local charity Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Service (PKAVS), lends motorised scooters and manual wheelchairs to residents and visitors to Perth who have difficulty getting around local shopping areas.

The service operates between Monday and Friday from Canal Street Car Park and will be running on Saturdays over the summer period until the end of August.
